I've been needing a better set of speakers for a long time now and it's about time I bought some.
I like the look of the Logitech Z4500's, a reasonable price and they look ok. The main feature that draws me to them is the connectivity though. I have two pc's, a 360 and a PS2 that I would want to connect up to and be able to simply switch between without messing with cables. I also have a set of Medusa headphones that would be connected aslong as the amp box for them didn't create more wiring than I want.
Hiding the wires for the rear speakers would be a pain though as I have wooden floors and I've heard the wireless version has interferance issues if it's near a wireless network (which I have) plus I'm not sure it's worth the extra money.

I guess what I'd really like is a good 2.1 setup with just as much connectivity. Small speakers would be a bonus as desk space is already taken up with two 24" tft's.
I could possibly use a stereo system amp that my father bought over 15 years ago but it needs a new pot for the volume knob. It's an old Technics amp, so doesn't do anything like 5.1 or optical connections.

I would probably go with the Aego M's if they didn't have the volume control and headphone point on the sub, aswell as more connection options. Reaching under the desk to turn them off seems stupid

Can anyone suggest any good solutions? With a budget of £80-£160ish

A Hi-Fi type system does seem like it will be better quality but they're generally bulkier, I already have lots of stuff lying around. Then there's the fact I have no idea where to start with buying seperate bits and pieces.

So no one else has any suggestions?
