Vertex 2E SSD in RAID0

As the subject shows. Is it a good idea. I hear you can't have trim in raid and I'm wondering if the loss of trim negates the benefits of raiding them.

So which is it?

2x Vertex 2E 60GB in Raid. Or
1x Vertex 2E 120GB

What you guys reckon?

Once I've got everything setup the way I like. As little as possible. But I do actively do maintenance on my system to make sure its clean.

The sandforce controller that the vertex uses is one of, if not the best out there so IMO it should cope fine even without trim. Have a look at this anandtech 2x X25-V 40gb raid 0 review with regards to missing trim. I know it's not ocz but it's still worth a read.

I have Garbage collection on my Vertex RAID 0, it's much the same thing I think.
