Vertical sync "smooth" option

Anyone any info on what this is actually meant to do? I had it enabled and it was locking me down to around 40fps for some reason in battlefront, disabled it and my fps were consistently over 60

Its supposed to prevent that stutter ya get with SLI when ya fps drops under 60. If your already getting over 60 i guess its useless, just try it if your constantly dipping under 60 getting stutter.

By actually dropping frame rate to under 60? Bit of a weird way to go about it.

yeah sounds wierd to me, if ya fps goes under 60 ya just have to turn down the settings to keep things smooth in my experience.
