My boss recommended this for me. I just watched it.

So... is it a comedy? Anyone know? Aside from having (call me a feline if you wish) the most horrific death sequence i've seen in a film, i fail to see what was either funny or entertaining about it. It was just... really odd.

Anyone got any opinions or see the error of my ways?

I've only seen it the once, at its initial release, so can remember next to jack **** about it - however I do remember not classing it as much of a comedy at all; even a black one.

The trailer, from memory, actually made some scenes appear more humorous due to the editing than they were as a complete scene in the movie.

Might give it a rewatch soon to see how I feel about it now, though.

A very dark movie, don't watch it expecting a comedy...it's kind of like The Hangover, except what would happen if things went very very wrong!

saw it once, will never watch it again..

didn't hate it, I just can't see who it appeals to.

i'd be worried for someone if they reccomended it to me :p

Yeah well, i'm a little concerned myself. All the actors are well known comedy actors... but there was no comedy in it. The security scene where they're holding the door shut was just.. disturbing :/

I was going to question my boss' state of being in a positin of authority today but he's not in.

I thought it was a very good film. It's great seeing how each character deals with the prostitutes death and how they all slowly fall to pieces as the film progresses.

Edit: It's definitely a comedy although it's very dark humour.

Absolutely one of my favourite films of all time! Its so annoying a lot of other people don't 'get it'. I don't see what's to get, its a series of unfortunate events that happens to be hilarious. Cringe humour at its best, the situation just gets worse and worse.

Brilliant film.
