I agree, and not just because I have one. It's really a fantastic cooler.

I would prefer a HIS IceQ 3 though. :p

It's just the same as the VF900 but louder, that's it.
you get any more overclcoking head room with it? your v900?

chhers! what about the best thermal paste?
Arctic Silver 5 hands down IMO. :) Arctic Ceramique is supposedly good too.

I'm going to assume that you know the proper way to apply thermal paste, but if you need to ask then please do as it can cause problems when done improperly.

vf-900cu is not the best cooler. thermaltake has a new cooler and thats better.
If you're talking about the Tide then it costs a bloody fortune, the VF900 is expensive enough.

The subject says that he wants an air cooler anyway, which goes to the VF900 and IceQ 3 IMO.

OcUK does not have them, and I would be breaking the rules to mention them here. I should also point out that if I am thinking of the same one that Mav is thinking of then it's a water cooler. It's also incredibly expensive.

Google hath the answers yé seek.

Thermaltakes Tidewater isnt that expensive IMO.

It gives realy Carp temps though IIRC :)
Really? I could have sworn the last price I saw for it was upwards of £65.

I had heard about it not being a great cooler though.

i have zalman VF-700s and FS-V7s (fatal1ty) and the fatal1ty knocked 4*C off the load and 3*C off the idle temperatures of my GPUs, and its not that much louder

If that was in reply to my earlier post, I wasn't talking about the VF700 or the Fatal1ty version of it. I was talking about the VF900 and the Fatal1ty version of that, which has been reported to be much louder than the original as it spins a fair bit faster but doesn't actually cool any different.
