Very concerned with E7200 Temps. 50 Idle and 67-70 at full load - Answers Quickly :/

I have just built my PC and these are the temps I am getting. E7200 - Gigabyte P35S3L. I used the thermal paste given with the stock heat sink but accidently spread it out abit and took some off by mistake. Should I stop using computer immediately and buy some more thermal compound if so which and what can I buy to remove it?

Could be about right with a stock fan, especially if you've removed some of the compund accidentally. Can't remember, but do these chips come with the tiny puny stock heatsink thats about an inch thick?

May be worth getting some decent TIM (i.e. AS5) and re applying, making sure it's seated properly. Apply according to AS5 website.

Okay Cool, I will - Will it dmaage my CPU at them temps if I run until it comes tho?

70 is high but not that bad, ran my e2160 at that on and off for about 6 months. Probably wouldn't want it to get much higher though

The cpu will throttle if it gets to hot.
