Very concerned..

About 10 minutes ago, something weird happened.

I was downstairs in the living room on my laptop when some guy entered our house through the backdoors and wandered in the kitchen then proceeded to leave through the front doors. I saw him in the corridor and ran after him yet he vanished away. My neighbour who was sitting in his front garden saw him too.

This leads me to think he tried to rob us, while it's still bright.

I have no idea what to do. I'm partially scared because now he knows our indoors and it could be anyone for any reason. I dont want to come back to the house one day to find all my stuff robbed. Or worse yet, battered in my sleep.

Anyone got any suggestions ? Alarm perhaps ?

Police won't help. He didnt take anything / Crowbar the doors.

Backdoors are always locked except now because I put the washing up in the garden.
They will be locked of course but a crowbar will take care of the lock easily when im not home.

He was about 10m away when I got out of the house, it's possible he ran into the street that was left of the house and got into someone's garden. I ran a bit further But I could not see him.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Once again, backdoors were not locked because I was doing stuff today in the backgarden which involved getting out of the kitchen into the garden and going in multiple times and I just simply forgot to lock the doors when I went onto my laptop.
I will make sure they are locked at all times now.

I will also invest in a Alarm. And... well, I will not exactly say what it is, but let's say I'll be ready for him when he comes (If he does that is)
