I have Team Elite 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 800MHz Dual Channel Kit
On a Asrock ALiveSATA2-GLAN (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
It says: Supports Dual Channel DDRII800/667/533 , 4 x DIMM slots, with max. capacity up to 8GB
I noticed in the BIOS that each stick of ram was currently running at 200Mhz and saw that it gave me the option to change this to 400Mhz each.
From the sticky I gather that PC2-6400 does run at 200Mhz but it's 800Mhz effective? Not really sure what that means.
Does this mean I need to change it back in the BIOS to 200Mhz or is 400Mhz ok? Now that I have changed it, it's identifying them as DDRII800.
I'm very confused!
