I thought I was going to have a few problems with heat but it actually runs cooler than my old P4 socket 478 Prescott (3ghz o/c > 3.6ghz.) Ive got it clocked at 3.05 with FSB at 333 and it idles at 40 degrees and under full load goes to 52 degrees.
I think it could go higher but tbh it rips through all my games already anyway so Im not going to push it harder, yet lol.
Vcore is saying 1.3 in speedfan but in BIOS ive set it too 1.4. It seems to be always a little lower than what I set, when auto it went to 1.27 or something like that I think. Motherboard is a Asus P5KC Combo Intel P35 and although the M/B temps are a little high even at idle seems to be rock solid. I read somewhere that some of these motherboards were going at over 50 degrees idle and it could be a inflated sensor reading. Heatsink Noctua NH-U12F, which is very quiet and seems to be doing a great job.
Temps after running orthos (which only seemed to use 2 processors) and a load of other stuff to max em all out for 20 mins are:
System - 42
CPU - 52
Core 0 - 52
Core 1 - 52
Core 2 - 48
Core 3 -51
