Very low SNR and high syncspeed?

Hi,

Just noticed my sync speed has jumped up to 8128kbps which is the highest I have ever seen and that my SNR has dropped to 1.9 which is incredibly low no?

Managed to hold the connection for 5 hours now...

Do you think it will last? I quite like being able to download stuff this quickly

Depending on your router, you maybe able to hold sync that low, but the errors will creep up rapidly as you are on fast path.

Let us know today if it held or not.

I would expect that to drop out over night personally but let us know Ive managed to hold 1db overnight but most of the time there were errors

yep it has held so far... current uptime is 1 day and 4 hours... so 28 hours...

I have the 7800N and I'm wondering if its because I just updated to 1.06e firmware...

SNR last night was at 1.0 and its now back at 1.7

interesting...

The 7800N can hold very low on some lines - mines done it on 1.06d, 1.06e and 1.06f.

I have a Netgear DGN2000 that is insanely low, varies from 0.8-2.0dB and current up time is something like 700hours

Mine does that a fair bit - looking at the system log I get a lot of "LCP Terminated by peer" events rather than dropped sync - the cllue is that the sync rate doesn't change.
