Hello! I am 12 years old, and I live in the UK. ( I know I will get some sort of flak for being 12, but oh well. Age is just a number, right? ;) )

I am a new member of this community, I come from www.facepunch.com ( The forum turned to **** recently, and I got permabanned for having an opinion on the owner, hopefully it is different here. :) )

I am ( in my opinion ) not bad with computers, I have a desktop with 4gb ram, GTX460... Basically mid-high range hardware and I have a laptop with linux installed on it.

I fitted a power supply and my graphics card in my computer.. Basically on my own. Just with my mom to help with holding **** and taking **** out in essence.

So, I would like to ask some questions if that's ok.

(1) Can I have a link to the general rules to the forum?
(2) How active is the forum?
(3) Are we allowed to make megathreads?
(4) If there is one, how does the ranking system work?
(5) Why can't I get an avatar?
And finally..
(6) How nice is this community?

Thanks for reading!

Oh, It's not a school night :) We are on a half-term.

And the owner of the forum had gone haywire and basically banned people who disagreed, he is demodding mods because they did one thing wrong.
Thanks all :)

Heh, thanks all.
Oh and Mom = Mum
:)

In some places ( America ) they spell it like that and pronounce it like that.
I have been on the internet and been around americans, so I get into the spelling they use, and I get used to it if that makes sense.
;)

A megathread is something like...
Say you had a thread called the Half life 2 megathread, you would discuss HL2, post pictures of it etc.

At FP, There was a thread called 'What are you working on?'
The WAYWO.
Everyone posted their projects there, and when they made progress they would post what they have done, there was a separate thread called 'What do you need help with?' too.

In simple terms, it is a thread that people discuss things in, post their stuff in etc.

It is long term.
