ok this morning i fired up my pc and whilst browsing the web it locked up with a long loud beep coming from the tower. restarted everything seemd ok. Now it keeps disconnecting from my wireless connection after about 15 mins of *** pc being on and then it wont repair it and i couldnt even get the ctrl-alt-dlt window up and when i went to start>shutdown it just froze.

Whats going on.

I had this problem once a while ago, was a corrupted driver which eventually led to windows not booting at all.

Try running chkdsk see what it finds.

Before you try Memtest, check your Wireless card, take it out, leave it out for a while then put it back in, PROPERLY.

Dosent sound like a Memory issue to be honest.

its a usb wireless adapter.

I see, latest drivers for it?

well, im not sure but i dont think its anything to do with the wireless adapter. Its been working perfectly for the fats few weeks and when it does go wrong other stuff happens (like freezing up and not being able to get into task manager or msconfig e.t.c.). It will only all work again after a reboot.
