PC been running fine with zero problems till today. After running kaspersky scan found that sound of my programs would not work from shortcuts fromm my desktop error problem
"C:\program\etc\etc, this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem"
Get the same window pop up on any file, software etc tec. Thought i would shutdown and restart to see what would happen. Logged up fine to find that windows was asking what user to sign in with (which i never had setup being only 1 user).
After logging back in under normal user i came to find the same problem above but with more stuff. These are as follows
1. No start button, no quick lauch, just the task bar with the clock,
2. No icons in folders apart from "My documents" folder,
3. Icons on my desktop have odd outline effect on them,
4. Only thing that seems to work is MS office atm
Anyone have idea what happened?? or any information or tips on fixing this??
If anyone can shine some light onto this problem would be very grateful
