Very odd question

If I were to start to very slowly buy parts for my next upgrade, would it be disastrous if I were to put a block on my gtx 690 and then not water cool it? Not for a considerable amount of time any way

Yes it wouldn't last long on idle never mind a full load, if your buying in bits your better off getting a ref design card with fans then buy the block at a later date.

ok thatnks, I already have the 690 with the fan cooler on there so i'll just wait until I can afford the whole shabang xD
