My brother in law asked me to have a look at his new laptop - I think reconditioned - from a well know B2B IT supplier. Only had a quick look but I'm a bit baffled. It's a Toshiba satellite of some sort, running Vista Business (although the sticker said designed for Vista Basic), and was taking ages to start up.
Managed to work out it was a 1.6 Celeron, with 2GB RAM (it came with 512MB but he's upgraded it) and Intel onboard graphics. Now here's the strange bit. I went into Device manager and it had a driver for an Intel 2GHz Core 2 T7xxx (can't remember number) and both Intel and nVIDIA display drivers installed (no exclamation marks or anything). I got as far as uninstalling the nVIDIA drivers and reinstalling intel graphics drivers, which seemed to speed things up a little but then it was time to go.
What do you reckon - cloned install from a different model or something?
