Very quick question: what filter size does kit D50 lens take?

I think it's 58mm but not 100% sure, also if I buy other lenses is 58mm a fairly universal size for filters?

Ok, does anyone think it's worth buying the D50 body only and then buying some other 18-50mm? (price upto £110)
