Very quick question

I bought a Samsung 23" HDTV a week ago and it has a VGA input, I tried putting what it usually my monitor into it and it said mode not supported.

I read through the manual that said I needed to set the resolution of the PC to xxxx x xxxx, would it be worth it because I have plenty of room on my desk ( do not need just the TV ) and the monitor is pretty decent anyways (19" acer).

Thoughts?

it could be the frequency you have your PC set to or perhaps your current resolution for your PC monitor is too high, what is the frequency and resolution of the PC set to at the minute?

1280 x 1024 is the res but how do I find out the refresh rate?

To many vertical pixels I imagine.

Try 1280 x 720

(OR 1366x768)

Refresh rate should be 60 Hz I would guess.
