Just built a new PC, and after about an hour of playing computer games on it my pc spazzed out and died. Replaced various parts to find out whats the problem, it worked when i put different ram in.

Just want to know is it possible/normal for RAM to spazz out after an hours use? I thought it would either be dead on arrival or else take hours and hours of use to die.

No if RAM is erroring it can cause instant crashes, random crashes just about anything :)

To test your dodgy RAM there's a program called Memtest86+ which you burn to a bootable CD/Floppy and that will test the memory and report back any errors.

Yeah, your RAM can still be faulty yet run for a good while.

It could also be that the RAM is fine but isn't compatible with your motherboard.
