This is the best I can get from my BB.

Its never been this slow before but the last 2 weeks its been terrible. Gaming is impossible and iplayer can't cope with such slow speeds.

Haven't made any changes to the orange router but it has been playing up a bit - connection issues (between the PC and the router)

I don't suppose it has anything to do with my orange mobile phone account? Its up for renewal and I only pay £5 for the BB. I wondered if orange could somehow limited my speed??

I could change to the ISP in work which is eclipse but I'd be miffed if I change and its still dog slow.

I've done a few ping tests and it keeps failing on packet loss?

Connection mode : G.DMT
Type : interleave
Noise margin (dB) : 6.4
Attenuation (dB) : 57.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 2784
ADSL status : Connected [0]

Does that help?

If I do Tracert www.bbc.co.uk it gets to the livebox then stops.

57db is quite a high attenuation, and you'll be lucky to reach 3.5-4mb download speed at best anywhere else. What speed were you getting previously?

And yes, packet shaping (speed throttling) can be controlled by Orange.

Its never been a problem until the last couple of weeks. Its always been slower than others but not enough to effect gaming or streaming.

Don't know what the speed was before but now its rubbish.
