So, something I'm looking for for my fiancée.

I need a headset (so definitely with mic) that are wireless but when low on power can be plugged in for charging via USB. It doesn't matter if the link to the PC is still wireless at this point just so long as it can drag enough power from USB to charge it AND keep the headset running).

She's forever borrowing a rather nice (wired) pair I have and... with the best will, doesn't take such good care. Something that will have a charge socket (so the cable if stepped on while moving around while charging will just get yanked out) that only needs USB levels of power (I don't even mind having to build my own cable so a pair that are wireless + mic + need less than 5v @ 500ma to charge will do, I can cut the plug off the charger and solder a USB plug to it) will do nicely.

Anyone have any suggestions? Was looking at the plantronics 955 but these can't be used while charging. The sound quality doesn't have to be orgasm inducing, just so long as it's average or better. Would prefer a headphone looking pair with over-ear open cups if there's something that fits the bill.

Edit, after a bit more hunting - logitech H800? Anyone able to recommend anything else? The nano receiver is a definite plus too.

Creative Tactic3D rage wireless.

Can be used while charging via the usb cable and a claimed 16hrs battery life.

I got the older model the Tactic3D Wrath sound is pretty good for the price although I would not recommend it for the big head.

Cheers divine. Was for my chick, so was after something a bit more... subtle than the G930's (she trashes headsets too so rather something a BIT cheaper for now, we can see :D ).

Went with the those H800's in the end. I can hear a VERY feint rumbly hum when they are in use but her hearing's... not amazing (she's not deaf or hard of hearing but it's not so sharp) and she doesn't seem to notice it :)

They seem otherwise pretty decent, a slightly more socially acceptable looking headset (you wouldn't look like toooo much of a tit wearing them out for phone use) and decent features etc, she's happy :)
