Very Strange firefox - Help!

I was just browsing then I just closed the browser opened it up again and noticed the following went missing:

> Search Engines in the search box
> All my bookmarks below my categorised folders, roughly about 50
> Customized tabs on UI bar

How did it occur and more importantly, can I get the bookmarls back? :confused:

Maybe you could try a system restore? - Other than that - do a search for bookmarks.html from Start>Search.

Didn't work, the bookmarks are just displaying the one's listed but bless bookmarkbackups which I didn't realise I had installed. It made a back up of it :cool:

Now off to find the important search engines that I had

Guys, I've got a really strange problem, the engines aren't adding at all and I cant add bookmarks. Also when I customize and close FF then re-open it, all my customization disappears :confused:

It's just b0rked out the blue :\

Any Ideas?

p.s I updated to latest version

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me (about two weeks ago). couldn't find any way of solving it. i actually resorted to using IE for a while until i did a HD format, and now everything is fine.

Maybe the updates got installed without telling you? I've heard of a lot of people that have lost their bookmarks etc. when updating >.<

This also occurred before the update! :confused:
