Very strange issue

I've recently installed 2 new hard drives, and i've noticed in "My Computer" all secondary hard drives apart from C: have vanished. Now i can confirm this isn't a hardware issue, as the drives are visible from within "Computer Management" and they are accessible along with files intact and readable. So something is preventing windows from displaying the drives within my computer.

Anyone seen similar issues? - running windows 8.

Don't particularly want to reinstall the O/S, i may do an upgrade to 8.1 though.

Likely to be the above tbh, if you're not sure how to check/create letters;

Start -> Type: Create and format hard disk partitions -> Right click volume -> Change drive letters and paths.

Forgot I created this thread. Yep drive letters have always been assigned, whatever the error may have been seems to have fixed itself as all drives are visible again now. So i can't see if something had removed a drive letter.
