So I've got a wireless Network Setup in my house with 2 PCs running Netgear WG311T network cards connecting to a netgear WGT624v3. Both the PCs are running XP and were working fine until a couple of days ago.
Then, I made the mistake of downloading a driver (may have been the firmware actually, can't remember) update for my WG311T through windows update. It stopped working immediately. It would connect to the the router but couldn't access the internet. Now I've tried rolling back the drivers even physically removing the card from the slot and doing a fresh install but nothing works. Now it won't even connect to the router. I know its not a router issue as the other PC, running the exact same setup, which I didn't update the driver for, works perfectly.
However, and this is where it gets interesting, the dodgy NIC in my comp can access another unsecured wireless network in the local area and get the internet through that. My network is secured of course but I've tried unsecuring it and it still won't access it. I definately have the right password. It appears to be getting 100% signal strengh from the router. They are only about 5 metres apart.
Is there any way I can access the history of what I've downloaded through windows update so I ca clarify it was firmware or a driver? It would probably help if I knew which it was.
I am very confused.

EDIT: fixed it, somehow the mac addres on my nic had changed and this is why my router was blocking it from accessing it, duno how that happened but fixed now anyway.
