Very stupid question, CPU Bus Speed

Hiding as he asks the question....

I'm looking at getting an Abit F-190 m/board and am going to pair it with a nice Core Duo CPU. However, the latest round of releases are rated at 1333Mhz, and the m/b chipset only supports 1066Mhz.

Seeing as the newer CPU's are cheaper, can I just run a 1333MHz CPU at 1066MHz, or am I going to have to find a newer m/b?

Making excuses - it's been years since I built my last PC and I just can't remember!

according to this it doesn't support the latest 1333 chips, can't find a bios update for them either so that'll be a no then.

different mobo time mate.

Yeah just get a 1066, there isnt any performance difference anyway really.
