Behind you... Naked!
Ok, I am going to try, but fail, to explain this one, and I just hope that someone can offer me something to go on.

Basic story :-

I have a Netgear DGN1000

It currently has a testing firmware fomr netgear, and it is utterly rock solid and while at first it was a PITA, since the firmware, its been 100% stable. I cannot fault it in any way at all.

My entire network is now Gigabit. I have the laptops, needing WIFI access, and I also use a couple of those HomePlugs so my son can connect through WIRE rather than wireless

The DGN1000 is NOT Gigabit, and I bought a Linksys 610N ( I assumed it had a modem, but alas no ) but it gave me Gigabit so it helped for a while...

Ok, so last year, I bought myself one opf their DGN3500 things.

However, it would on occasion kick itself off the internet, but over the last few months it has been doing it every day almost.

Now, of course, I have gone through Netgears help, and after getting nowhere, I was able to return it.

For a while, I went back to the DGN1000 and once again... Flawless!

I got a brand new unopened DGN3500 return to me, and so that was great, however, there is one problem that has been present since ay 1 and a second issue has cropped up now too!

The first issue, is that it has 4 Wireless LANs built in, and the first one, simply wont let me connect to it. So, I have setup the second one instead... That does indeed seem to be fine ? - Ok, a solution, but surely I should not need to do that.

The second issue is muh more irritating.

My main PC down here, seems to lose its connection to it.

Internet just hangs, and I get a yellow triangle pop into the 2 monitors in the taskbar.

Now, here is the kicker...

When I do 192.168.0.1, I connect to the router just fine.
That means that the PC is talking to the router.

The router is aslo talking just fine to the internet, because my lads xbox, my daughters PCs and any Laptops as well as the lan pc are all unaffected!

I have tried swapping ports over in the DGN3500 but its only this pc that gets it.

Now, again, if I use the DGN1000 directly, or through the Linksys, this NEVER has happened, but connect the DGN3500 and it does.

Another thing I have found, is that it ONLY does it when my son is on the XBOX... It NEVER affects me with the XBOX.

I have tried different homeplugs just in case, I have tried whole new cables and I have asked my son to use his backup xbox and it makes zero difference.

Can anyone offer any light on this?
