Hi,
A while ago I had freezing in games and hardware failure BSODs in Vista. I tried new RAM and 1 gfx card at a time with no luck. As a last resort I loaded defaults in BIOS and it sorted the crashing out. About 2 weeks later I got the hardware failure BSOD again and Everest crashed after 10 mins or so. Went in Bios and loaded deafaults and its fine again. The thing is that I havent changed any bios settings from the last time, so I basically loaded the same settings.

I'm using bios 1504 on my Striker Exetreme. Could be something like static causing it? Temps are fine BTW.

If you're running 4 sticks then up the NB/MCH voltage by 0.1v to boost it for four sticks.

If that doesn't work then run Memtest86+ to check your memory.

It could be something that doesn't shutdown properly causing a hangover when you restart.
Next time it happens, instead of reloading defaults, give it 20 mins with the power cord unplugged and see what happens. If that clears it, then yes, it's just some annoying device that's not closing down fully. If it doesn't fix it, you'll need to call upon the here-gathered gurus to figure it out.
