VF900 - still any good?

Been away from computing for a while and might be tempted to buy a new graphics card possible a 8800gtx.

How does a VF900 compare to anything new coming out? When I bought it, it was the best air gfx cooler around, is it still decent?

i doubt you`ll need a VF900 on a 8800GTX, all the GTX`s ive heard are pretty quiet with stock cooling.

Ow? Are they any good for keeping these things at a decent temp? I do tend to overclock maybe add a few volts, who doesnt?

Ive a 8800GTS, stock cooler, very quiet indeed, i clock the pants of it, and temps are still cool. GTX cards are as easy , but as always with clocking, there is a risk.

Hmm glad to hear the manufacturers have started making decent coolers for the cards now! My current card's cooler was useless (x1800xt), it was literally like a dust buster.
