so it wouldnt be cooler then just quieter

Core temp on the GFX is cooler with the 900, hard to tell if RAM is hotter/colder, case/cpu temp slightly warmer due to air in the case , not expelled like the ATI cooler, but if your case has sufficient cooling shouldn't be too much of a increase. I noticed 2-3 degrees max for CPU temp (CPU is above GFX card so most effected but heat from GFX card) I would only get the 900 if you have good case cooling, if it's a Qpack or similar with limited case air movement I would stick with stock ATI cooler.

Why is everyone on about the Accelero expelling the air?
I thought it blows the air straight down onto the motherboard? It doesnt blow it out of the back like the old arctics.....

VF900 better by a mile and totally owns the x2....... read this: http://www.*******.com/index.php?/articles/show/751/5

edit: WTF, why is it deleting that word! Type in the *** out area "s u d h i a n" without the spaces

Well I just sold my zalman VF900 and bought an X2. The X2 is quieter (and harder to fit) but i dont know if it cools better than the zalman. It doesnt do a bad job though
