Trying to decide between these two monitors.

I currently run a Nvidia 1070 and will probably upgrade it in the next year or two. I see the monitor as being used for around 5 years or less when hopefully micro led monitors are common.

I was going for the LG which I can get for £50 less than the Asus but the motion blur tech sounds interesting and maybe future proofs the monitor a bit for when I have a GPU that can support it.

Which would you go for?

Thanks. Yes I saw the video too after ordering the lg. Just made me doubt myself a little.

I'm still leaning more towards of because of price, brand and reading that elmb doesn't work well unless you get high FPS, which I might struggle to maintain.

The asus has a big problem. It shows very visable overshoot when you dip below the 100fps range. If you range between the 100-165 fps range, it's a great monitor. So, playing esports titles you will be find. Playing something more demanding like RDR2, isn't going to be a great experience.

As much as I love rtings reviews, they do not test the things TFTCentral does and have admitted it's a flaw on their part and will probably start doing so in the future.

Thanks. Yes this was my concern when I scanned the TFTCentral review. You've summed it up clearly.

I suspect I may struggle to stay in that range with my Nvidia 1070 and r7 2700 at top resolution.

With the LG my only reservation is the contrast but I'm sure it'll look great in person. Certainly better than my Dell 2408wfp anyway.
