VGA 15 Pin Vs HDMI

Hi guys

my pc is currently connected to my hdtv with an hdmi cable, but Im getting sky hd tommorow and I dont have spare hdmi port

If i connected my pc to my tv using the 15 pin dsub connection would i notice a difference in the picture quality?

its 1080p resolution, 32 inch screen

At the same resolution, the differences between vga and hdmi are minimal and mostly do to with colours and not sharpness etc.

I don't think you would be able to tell the difference.
 
can't say if you'll notice a difference - try it and see?

Personally I doubt I'd notice a difference in optimal conditions, but you may get artifacts like dots or ghosting depending on quality of the vga cable, any interference and length of cale run.
 
You can currently play blu ray via a VGA connection (I have tested this out recently), however it is in the blu ray spec that allows the disabling of blu ray playback - it is just that no one has made use of it yet.
