how long can you you have a vga cable.

got a projector and want it other side of my room to pc, looking at about 5-7m.

this still ok or will it **** it all up?
 
I'm not sure about projectors but I extended a TFT with 5 x 2metre VGA cables and it looked exactly the same quality.
