Monring all , some help pls.

I have a Win2k box here at work and it seems the vga.dll has become corrupt.

When I try to change the display settings to what they should be it blue screens and starts a physical memory dump.

Have tried re-installing the onboard graphics driver ( it is a Dell box ) but the problem still persists.

Any suggestions please ?

Make sure you stop the PC automatically rebooting itself when it bluescreens (Control Panel-System-Advanced-Startup&Recovery-untick 'automatically restart'). Note down the error code and post that up here (or try googling the error code & vga.dll), as there are a number of possible reasons for this problem.

It could be a driver conflict, some software grabbing memory it's not supposed to, or it could be a hardware problem.

A quick google on vga.dll brought up this, so if you have PCanywhere installed then try that fix.

edit: Can't believe while I was typing the above you sorted it! Glad you solved the problem. Bloody Symantec!
