VGA, is it that bad?

You can get adapters or cables for DVI to VGA but these have to be connected to a DVI-I or DVI-A on the graphics card as they carry an analogue signal.

There may be the odd exception but as far as I know all modern graphics cards have have a DVI-I connection.

The image quality won't be any better for connecting via DVI-I but if the monitor is designed from the ground up to use VGA then I doubt you'll be disatisfied with the image quality.

VGA doesn't neccesarily mean bad, but usually DVI will look a bit sharper as it is a digital signal (though often the difference is rather slight - it all depends on how well the monitor deals with the VGA input).

May I ask what price this 22in LG VGA monitor is up for and what is isn't native resolution (ideally tell us the model number).

Usually monitors with VGA only aren't 1920x1080. If your on a budget and it's a good price andddd you don't care about 1080P... just buy it, it'll look fine!
