VGA out to DVI-D in??

Hi fellas,

I have a Samsung F2380, and I'm trying to hook up an old VGA laptop to it. I'm already using the F2380's standard VGA port for another system, so it's only DVI-D ports left.

Will a VGA to DVI-D cable do this? Or can the monitor not receive VGA signals because it doesn't have DVI-I ports?

I'm really confused, and can't find the answer online.

Any help will be much appreciated!
