Hey guys,

So herein continues the ongoing saga of my pc...

Spec is: 3000+, DFI Lanparty, 2*512 2700, 6800, sata hdd, Tagan 480W.

This all worked fine, all be it with a 9800, in my old case. When I changed to my V600, I had problems getting it to work. Tested as much as I can, but I can't narrow it down to one component.

Current position is: PC is build on my desk (not in case). Yesterday, PC would come on for 2 secs, then go off. Reseated everything. PC now comes on, stays on, but there is no output on the VGA. Ive tried different CPU coolers (for contact), two gfx cards, and shifting the RAM around.

Aside that, i'm stumped

I know the spec is a bit dated, but I'd like to try and get it working before I look at replacing parts.

Cheers, James :)

All the voltages are correct and stable, everything has been reseated several times, with no visible signs of damage on any component.

fubar :o

Hey guys, a bump to this one as I'm still having problems. I have both a new card, and a new PSU. The PC now stays on, the fans I have plugged in are okay, but still no output from the video card. The gfx fan spins up from the 2pin, so I assume its getting power okay.

Im guessing im looking at a new PC now, unless anyone else can throw out another option.

(Bin it and buy an apple? :p)

Thanks :)

Do you have a speaker plugged into the mobo? And what does the error beeps say? Or is it an Asus with the speaking-to-you-through-the-speakers error woman?

That should highlight your problem.

No beeps from the speaker. Does it matter what way round the speaker jack is connected?

Its a DFI Lanparty II by the way.
