A guy at work has just joined our team and hes got this VGA Splitter Cable plugged into one of his machine and going to 2 Displays.

For some reason i think he just getting mirror images of his desktop on 2 displays and not dual desktop like a normal gfx card setup would do.

Confused or what :confused::confused:

I dont thing just that one cable can offer what some £100 gfx cards do

Not quite sure what you are asking, however if its JUST a cable (no breakout box etc) splitting from one to two D-SUB's, then all it can do is clone the display to two VGA outputs.

If its a USB video adapter, then it may possibly be able to render two separate images.

Finally, a £20 video card will render dual displays (extended desktop, etc), no need to spend £100+ for 2D multi-monitors.
