Hello all, is there any way in which I can split a vga cable from two pc's

The idea what I am trying to achieve is to use my main desktop pc as the primary screen, until I plug in my macbook pro using the mini hdmi to vga cable. In which I wish to then use the primary screen as an extended screen of my macbook book pro. Do any of you have any ideas of what I can do regarding this?

Thanks,

That's only going to be giving each output half of the original signal strength. So if your cables aren't short or you care about the picture quality I'd skip that tbh.

@OP: I've got a VGA splitter, that's a proper little box that's powered and gives a decent strength signal to the two outputs.

Not sure if we're allowed to name the place where I got it here (but they are retail on the highstreet, and OcUK don't do a VGA splitter). It's called a 2-Way SVGA Splitter Code A93BB and is £34.99.
