VGA Splitter

Do these actually work properly?

My monitor only has 1 VGA port and i have to keep switching over between PC and 360.

If i buy a VGA splitter can i have both plugged in at the same time with no quality loss and just flick between the 2?

Well no actually, not after 9/10 of the reviews ive read.

Apparently a lot of ghosting is to be had, which is why i thought id ask here.

Is that a problem?

Even if it did work it's a splitter not a switch.

A splitter will split one signal to two devices, e.g. connect one PC to two monitors.

A switch will allow you to switch between two inputs on one device, e.g. between a PC and a 360 connected to one monitor.

i was unaware of that.....seems every days a school day eh

my guess is that these are no more than a tenner....why not buy one and see what there like....if you only have one vga port your options are limited so go on live alittle

Have you not read my post?

A switch is needed for what the OP wants, not a splitter.
