VGA to DVI adaptor

Just ordered a new monitor, my first TFT to replace my old CRT (which i still love, but it's really on it's last legs).

I have a VGA socket on my motherboard. I assume this TFT is going to have a DVI connector so i have to find an adaptor.

Been looking on certain auction sites for something cheap, but all 100 that i found are DVI-male to VGA-female, which i don't think i can use... Or can I?

Can anyone clear this up?

p.s. cracks about my confusing male and female parts are not welcome

*edit* On the specs for the monitor it says 'analogue D-Sub', does this mean i'm ok?

yeah you're ok. It means the monitor has VGA (analgoue) connection input anyway, so will be fine with the VGA output from your GFX card

Check if your monitor comes with any cables or adaptors, you might not need to buy a adaptor.
