VGA to DVI conversion, lessens quality? and what TFT to get?
Hi there,
I have been thinking about getting a TFT screen for web browsing, film/video file and tv watching and doing work on. I don't want to spend much more than £200. I've been looking at the 19" Widescreen Acer and Viewsonic monitors - they use the same panel but the Viewsonic is more expensive, is there anything that actually makes the price rise worthwhile?
Non WS I was thinking of the Samsung SM913N, I'm not sure whether to go for WS or not really.
My problem /question is that the Samsung and the Acer are VGA only, my graphics card just has two DVI inputs - baring this in mind should I only go for a screen that has DVI? Will I lose quality/brightness etc if I use a converter to connect a VGA cable to my DVI input.
Thanks for any help
