Hey Guys,

Ok I'm pretty sure this isn't possible without a powered solution, but asking anyway.

I got a server that I need to install Ubuntu on, this server only has a VGA port on it but the monitor I want to hook it up to only has digital connections (DVI/HDMI/DP/mDP), is there any cable/adaptor I can get that will allow me to hook this server up to this screen? I'm sure there are some solutions out there that require power and are prob quite expensive which don't interest me.

I only need it for the installation period as I SSH in afterwards, but I would like it hooked up to this monitor.

If there are no adaptors for this then I will just source out a cheapo DVI graphics card and lob that in there.

Cheers guys

I don't believe any will work, it would be changing an analogue connection to digital, which won't work, the other way around will but this won't

Yeah guessed as much. I grabbed a cheapo sucker card off eBay for £5 with DVI, so that will solve it. Cheers
