VGA Water Block question

I'm going to water cool my Asus 2gb 770, I've used the EK configurator to find a suitable block for it not sure if I can link to it or not. The picture shows the main plate with 2 holes in it for the water input and output like in the example one below. Can I run connections directly off these ports or do I have to use the extra block which extends them out?

The reason for asking is that it will hopefully be going into an In Win 901, the heat pipes on the stock cooler are already nearly touching the glass side panel so there isn't the room for the extension piece for the water block

Example water block with ports on the main block:

I hope this makes sense

is it this one?

I can't see any threads in the holes, although the pic isn't really clear enough to tell, which (if it was the case) would most likely mean that you would need some sort of terminal block, HOWEVER, the FC links OCUK currently stock look like the wrong orientation as well. ( think it's the same as the ones I've got, which output parallel to the PCB, to attach to a bridge connector)

looking at the heatpipes on that card though, I'm not sure the block would come out any (if at all) further.

You can attach fittings directly to those ports. It's just a pain in the bum to route them to your cpu without the terminal attachment, as they're on the bottom of the card.

Exactly this. The attachment aids watercooling of SLI setups (using the bridge you buy separately) whilst also allowing easier routing if you prefer.

Although it 'sits' on the block and is screwed into place, the openings in the block itself are also threaded should you prefer.

Without any angled fittings though it will be a PITA to route - how about a couple of 90s directly on the block?
