Guys,

So I have my system running on air / Corsair H100 to test all new components.

I have 2 x EVGA 780TI cards that will be getting EK water blocks fitted that are working fine on air.

So can I fit a water block to one of the 780's and just plug it into the rig without water to test it boots?

How long can I let it run??

Obviously it will be easier to do rather than plumb one card, then second card etc and I hope it will allow me to see if the cards work before plumbing.

I could do with your experienced views please.

If they run fine on air, the should run fine with the blocks too.
Fitting a block is very easy. Just take your time, plumb the lot together (both cards) and enjoy your new awesome temps :)

So, have you tested them on air or not? If you have and you know they are working i would not fit the waterblock and test it without any water in, that's madness lol. If they work on air theres no reason to think they will not boot/work when you have installed the block unless you have damaged it in the process.

Fill the loop and leak test it first before you put any power to any of the components, use one of those psu jumper things or a paper clip.

ok guys

yes both cards running fine at the moment under air.

I queried it as i had heard about running without water for test but that seems really risky.

Therefore will fit the blocks and plumb.

cheers
