Via Hand Sized Pico PC!

I wouldn't assume it's less power Atoms are basically awful anyway. The power draw is less and it can handle 1080p video. Plus, it's much smaller than most Atom based PCs. It looks like a little switch box or something, but is an actual PC. I have a 1gb DDR2 so-dimm and a 4gb SATADOM knocking about at home, will house them in there and have a silent PC with no moving parts - lovely!

The Atom is awful because it's an in-order CPU, Intel's first since the original Pentium.

Which is an advantage in few situation, very simple execution paths suffer fewer losses, but as complexity increases the Atom crumbles more and more.

I'm not saying the Via CPU is any better, just that if you are going to have awful performance, get it for less heat, power and noise... in a smaller package.

I'm getting this for a tiny Linux machine that is going to occasionally be chucked in my bag and taken to work. 1gb, 4gb SSD and no moving parts.
