Don't want to freak you out, but that's EXACTLY what the dog did in the movie the Thing, before it split open its head and ate the other dogs.

I hope you live next door to Kurt Russell, else you are ******.

It's eaten some acid in my expert veterinary opinion.
You need to cut it's stomach open with a kitchen knife and drain it. (Do this on plastic to avoid bloodstains)
Then get it drunk and give it some chocolate.

It'll be fine :D

If it dies, stuff it with socks and flush it's innards down the toilet, being old people they won't won't notice :D

Mine shakes when he's excited (e.g. we buy him a new toy) but I doubt that's the reason why yours is shaking.

Put the telly on in the background to muffle the sound of the fireworks. I'm afraid there's not a lot you can do to stop a dog from worrying if it's determined to be worried, and making a fuss could just make things worse because it'll think the fireworks really ARE something scary and that's why you're making a fuss.

But give it a cuddle if it comes to you of course.

The other possibility is that it's cold. What's the temperature in that room?

Will it eat? Dogs will pretty much always take food unless theres somethign really wrong.

Tbh this should really count as a medical thread. If you think it's serious then contact a vet. At least give your grandad a call.

Small dogs shake all the time. Fact. Fireworks will be bothering it but I wouldn't be concerned about the shaking if I'm honest.
