First of all who's looking foward to this game? Me personally I just can't wait :D

And finally what firmware is it going to require to run this game?

A firmware update should come with the game shouldn't it? Or do you mean you're running an earlier version and don't want to update?

As for the game itself, liberty city stories was decent so I will probably get this.

Well i'm just wondering what it'll need. I don't use my psp much, but this might get me back into using it.

Is 2.81 the highest firmware atm?

Yes, I've got the game on pre-order and I can't wait. 5 days to go! ;)

Am I the only one not able to update my PSP to 2.82? When I try to download the update it gives it to me in some EBOOT.pbp format and it's not the way it is usually done.

edit: I'm doing it via the computer as I don't have access to a wireless router (if that helps?).

damn im only on 2.71 because of the home brew :(

suppose im getting bored of scumvm now so i might just bite the bullet and upgrade it , vice city is one of my all time fav games

edit - think you put the eboot file in the "game" folder then run it as an app on the psp

thats what I've been doing and unfortunately it doesn't seem to be registering whenever I go to that folder after havng copied to the file over to that directory. I believe it's missing it's folder as all of the other folder in that directory have EBOOT.pbp files.

Place the update on your memory stick in X:PSP/GAME/UPDATE do not forget caps lock(if the folder isnt already there make it)

I don't have a PSP, but i have to suggest you visit the Vice City Stories website.

It's absolutely hillarious from start to finish.

Nah i am getting Killzone Liberation instead for the PSP this month, too many games on the 360 coming out, and a hope and a prayer to get a PS3. Doubt i will but i can hope lol

I've got a PSP on it's way to me sometime this week, this game looks truly excellent.

I had a look at the multiplayer modes and they sound great, just what I'd always wished for since the very first game. One question though, is it online?
