Hey guys i've noticed this forum is kinda Camera focused but im hoping there are some vloggers here , and i'll be vlogging later on this year so im looking for recomendations not sure where to start
I know a few reviews hold the Flip cameras in high regard but i kinda want to be able to see myself when recording if that makes sense.

I don't really have a budget but i guess no more than £250
the only one i kinda like the looks of is the Sony Xacti CG10 if any one has any smilar recomendations please let me know.

I would think virtually any camera with a video function will do the job.

The two important factors if creating lots of videos would be:

- Does it spit out the movie files in a format you can easily edit?

- Is the sound any good?

On the later point, you are probably better off getting a separate mic if you want to take it seriously.

Thanks for the help guys , i guess your right a basic camera can do pretty good video nowadays.
i don't think file format should be such a problem as most software can edit them i would have thought?

sound was and working at night i guess are bigger factors although i don't think a separate microphone will be needed .

Don't forget about lighting, the most important thing.

Most people have desk on the side with a single light in the centre of the ceiling behind them, which is no good. Find a couple of table lamps and fit them with the same bulbs. Also, manually set your white balance, don't leave it on auto as you may get variations between videos.

thats a good tip if i find some where well lit to vlog , i won't actually be at home as im not doing reviews or anything like that. something im still working on

Also if you have a iPhone or similar device, they take really good video.

Obviously not an end solution but will at least get you going.
