Hey I'm i need of a video camera for work that is able to record high quality video(videos will be shown for information/pomotional purposes/attached to a pdf etc) with an audio jack for the ability to be upgraded with a boom-mic/raido mic in the future.

The videos will be recorded outside and inside buildings during daylight, and will be on building sites that are either still being worked on or close to finishing.
Sound needs to be very good, becuse they will be some points at which a technician/plumber/electriction etc will be talking about the item/s he has installed and how to operate them and it needs to be as clear as possible, taking into consideration the amount of external noise there might be on a building site.

Budget is around £700 at the moment, but cheaper or 'slightly' more expensive options will be considered

Any advice welcome thanks :)

Not a product suggestion but rather a suggestion regarding production.
If there is a high amount of noise during a segment it would be preferable to record the actions without the commentary, and then record the commentary later on in a quiet environment, and then overlay the commentary track onto the action video.

I can't advise on a camera for your budget, but have you thought about hiring?

It sounds like your use may be project-specific and relatively short-lived, so this may be an option. I run a rental service (but I'm not here to pimp that) and you could expect to get two weeks with a full 1080p camcorder for that price.
