Video Capture Software

HI

Can anybody reccomend a really good app for capturing video as I want to take it off my DV Camera and think the Pinnacle Software i got with my Capture Card is pants?

Im looking into this also as im after recording CCTV to my PC.

Usually when we have a thread like this Pinnacle comes out on top.
My mate has produced some marvellous results with Pinnacle.
Adobe Premiere also gets a look in.

Agree, I've used Pinnacle 9 for years now without any problems , no dropped frames at all , capturing from my panasonic camcorder . Recommend it .

I'd say Premiere, but it's quite expensive unfortunately.

The Pinnacle studio you got with your camera is probably quite an old, limited version (ours is). The proper Pinnacle 9 seems to be popular.

Premeier Elements 3 seems to get favourable reviews. The only issue with PE 3 is that it will not run in Vista 64 Bit.
