Video capture software

Hi, I have a camera outputting via http and I'm wanting a piece of software capable of capturing the content. I will have a laptop available that is capable of recording the stream, but am having difficulty finding something that will capture it.

I'm not really wanting screen capture, I want the direct stream to be captured. Know anything that can do this?

I'm only going to be using it for a day or two, so don't want to spend megabucks but don't mind paying a little

What camera is it? Have you checked if the manufacturer supplies software that could perhaps connect to the camera?

Livestreamer lets you save http streams to disk.

I've used it to capture some live streams from the internet so it might be able to recognise the stream from your camera.
